Providing Therapy to Couples & Individuals

Connections with yourself

and with others

I work with a wide range of emotional challenges, providing services that span from couples therapy as well as individual therapy for anxiety, depression, parenting support, health related concerns and ADHD. In a comfortable and supportive atmosphere, I offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client's individual needs to help them attain the personal growth for which they are striving. I am committed to staying on top of the latest research as it pertains to mental health and emotional well being. I have worked in a wide variety of settings that have allowed me to cultivate my clinical skills.

My approach

Where DID I learn about a

neurobiological approach?

First let me start by saying I am a life-long learner.  I completed Dr. Ruth Newton's Scaffolding the Brain: A Neurobiological Approach to Assessment and Intervention, which set me on the path of learning more about implementing neuroscience principles in my practice. I am fortunate enough to have participated in a monthly study group with Dr. Tina Payne Bryson, Ph.D., a leader on parenting whose focus is whole-brain integration for children and adolescents. In 2016, I completed a year-long training with experts in couples therapy, Dr. Ellen Bader & Dr. Peter Pearson, with a focus on attachment & development and neuroscience. In this program, I had the opportunity to work with people from all over the world who utilize this model during treatment with couples.  I have also attended trainings with other leading trauma and neuroscience experts such as Dr. Bruce Perry, Dr. Dan Siegel, and Dr. Rick Hanson.   Furthermore, I have completed two year-long trainings from Dr. Stan Tatkin, a world expert on couples therapy, from which I learned and utilized a psycho-biological approach. Locally, I coordinate a study group in my community for clinicians who implement neuroscience principles, developmental theories, and attachment theory in their own clinical practices.

Couples Therapy is my specialty.   I have had specific couples therapy training in five researched based models:
